Currents, the highly anticipated follow-up to Chicago power pop/rockers Treaty of Paris’ 2007 album, expands upon the pop foundation that the band created with their first two records, Sweet Dreams, Sucker and Behind Our Calm Demeanors (2006) and shows tremendous growth. The track, Colleen, will be immediately familiar to anyone who has listened to Treaty of Paris, but combines old sensibilities with a new pop maturity. The title track, Currents, features piano and percussion instrumentation, which shows incredible depth and character.
